Here's whats in my gym bag

... in case you were curious! All of my favorite gym bag essentials to freshen up on the go, post-sweat sesh are packed in this clutch that I carry around in my backpack so I can just bring my must-haves with me. Impromptu gym sessions have never been so easy!!!!

  • Yuni Shower Sheets (12 ct) - $15.00
A lot of smaller studios and gyms don't have showers! The wipes are crucial for staying fresh when you have to squeeze in your work out and head right out the door. They are a really generous size (12x 10) and are made from a thick, biodegradable and ethically sourced plant material. And they are scented with the natural aroma of neem extract and peppermint!! My friend Theresa and I love these! She actually first tried them at the Yoga Tree studio in Castro and raved. They're great. You can get them online or at Sephora.

  • Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub (1 oz) - $3.99
I love this scrub. I bought it in the full-size first, and loved it so much that I stocked up on the mini size. It's organic, plus it has check marks in all the good categories I look for in products: vegan, gluten and cruelty free, paraben, sulfate, silicone, phthalate and synthetic fragrance free! Yep, this travel size is great to brighten up dull complexions on the fly. You can grab this brand at Whole Foods or Mother's Market. They stock the mini at Target.

  • Foreo Luna Play - $39.00
So I am actually a Clarisonic girl, but that thing is just too big to lug around everywhere. So the Luna Play has been great as a travel cleansing tool. It has a battery powered oscillation feature which is supposed to last for ~100 uses. Unlike the Clarisonic, it isn't timed and doesn't turn off automatically. They sell a re-chargeable version that comes in two other larger sizes. All of them are made of silicone which inhibits bacterial growth and dries really quickly. This small size is awesome for blackheads on the sides of my nose. I wouldn't use it on the day-to-day though...
*update: I used this over a 3-day trip and noticed a visible improvement in the appearance my skin. It was brighter, more even and felt like a baby's bottom. I'm actually impressed.

  • Tangle Teezer The Original Detangling Hairbrush - $14.99
My holy grail 'on-the-go' beauty tool. Anyone who knows me KNOWS how much I love this thing. It feels like a head massage with every stroke. And it is so easy to wash and detangles my crazy curly hair wet or dry with ease. If you get anything on this list... let it be the almighty Tangle Teezer. You can grab one from Target or Sephora

  • Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk (1 oz) - $10.00
Dry shampoo is a must for me, especially after a sweat session. My thin hair gets flat and starts looking pretty gross, so this dry shampoo is awesome for adding volume and absorbing oil, not to mention it smells nice. I've tried cheaper ones, but they leave serious sticky or white residue and just make my hair worse. Love this travel sized one that I picked up at Sephora.

  • Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm w/ Pomegranate Oil (0.15 oz) - $3.29
Burt's Bees FTW. The pomegranate oil variety leaves a nice tint and my lips look plumped for sure. I always have a Burt's Bees lip balm on hand. The Pomegranate, Vanilla Bean and Wild Cherry are my favorite. You can get this stuff anywhere... Ulta, Target, CVS, even at the gas station quick mart!

  • Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream (1.7 oz) - $27.50
My basic, basic, basic facial moisturizer. It is so reliable and trust worthy. I don't really like to get too fancy with moisturizers, and this one has been a long proven and worthy staple along with Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser. It is kind of pricey, but a little goes a long way. I use a dime sized dollop on my face and neck. I bring it wherever I travel and Kiehl's sells it in three different sizes. You can also get it at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and other major retailers. I follow this up with an SPF to keep my skin extra moisturized and protected.

  • The Blend Fragrance Blending Minis (4 ct) $29
My obsession. They smell amazing. The set comes with 4 mini rollerballs but I am constantly going to Citrus Zest after a work out because it smells so uplifting. It reminds me to keep the energy going through the rest of my day. Sometimes I will mix this with 'Clean Musk' for a really exotic scent. It's soo intoxicating. And they are the perfect size to throw in your purse. I roll them onto the pulse points on my wrist, neck and behind my ears and I also love to glide them on before a yoga class. I grabbed these at Sephora.

  • Jason Tea Tree Natural Deodorant - $6.36
I'm currently experimenting and testing out a few natural deodz. I like this one for post-gym because it has tea tree oil, but it's not the best for during workouts-- it isn't an anti-perspirant and it is super low-powered. It is however, really refreshing and has a nice light scent. I use it after the Yuni wipes, swipe it on and feel fresh. But... maybe try a different one.
*update: Jazzy and I actually, tried a few different natural deodorants. Here's what we think.

  • Altoids Smalls Wintergreen Sugar-free Mints (0.37 oz) - $0.97
Can't forget to freshen the breath! Sometimes when I breathe heavily, my mouth feels dehydrated, dry and stale. LOL! It's true. These little mints are perfect for getting my saliva going. And let's be real, they're pretty tasty.

  • Chelsea Leifken Be The Light Clutch - $365.00
I love looking at it! And holding it, and filling it (with my gym essentials!). I'm obsessed. It is a reminder to myself, but I feel like it's also a little blessing to anyone whose eyes may come across it long enough to read it. Plus, it is hand-made and hand-painted with sooo much love by an amazing local designer. She even makes a mini version. It's a staple.
